Aminata Konaté

Director

Aminata Konaté is an entrepreneur and educator whose roots now flourish in Yellowknife. Founder of My African Cuisine, she brings the soul of African gastronomy to northern tables, while co-leading A&M Entertainment, where art, rhythm, and culture converge in vibrant celebration.

Her journey is woven with threads of teaching, project coordination, and community leadership—a tapestry of purpose and passion.

With a Master’s in Economics and Marketing and a Bachelor’s in Education from the University of Ottawa, she bridges knowledge and action with grace.

Aminata is a devoted voice for the Francophonie, uplifting diverse narratives through her work with Éditions Présence francophone. Her commitment to justice shines through Black Advocacy Up North, where she champions equity and amplifies Black voices across Northern Canada.
